Cellular Analysis and Cytometry
The Cellular Analysis and Cytometry Core (CAC) supports researchers at Georgia Tech and beyond with tools to study and measure cells. The core offers flow and imaging cytometry to analyze cell features, track changes over time, and identify and collect specific cell types for downstream experiments. Access to mass cytometry and other cell analysis resources is also available.
Services
CAC provides comprehensive sample acquisition, analysis, and cell sorting services using a wide range of flow and imaging cytometry platforms. For multiparameter analysis, the CAC maintains Cytek Aurora, Cytoflex S, BD Discover A8, BD Fortessa SORP, and Amnis ImageStream X instruments. For users who need to isolate specific cell populations, sorting services are available on the BD FACSDiscover S8, BD FACS Fusion, and BD FACS Melody cell sorters. In addition, the CAC facility in the Petit Biotechnology Building provides access to the Helios Mass Cytometer that can be set up to do imaging mass cytometry with the Hyperion Tissue Imaging System. Other miscellaneous equipment related to cellular analysis and characterization (gel imagers, cell counters, etc.) can be found on the CAC Equipment Group in SUMS.
